At the latest edition of JEC World, the British manufacturer VAC Innovation signed a memorandum of understanding with Toray Advanced Composites for the distribution of its trademarked AmberTool HX56, a low-temperature curing epoxy tooling prepreg designed to facilitate the production of composite tooling. This prepreg is designed to enable manufacturers to produce durable and dimensionally stable tools for a wide range of composite manufacturing applications.
This distribution partnership allows VAC Innovation to offer its customers bespoke prepreg kits, i.e. to supply AmberTool HX56 in quantities tailored to their specific projects. Furthermore, VAC will have a larger stock of prepregs readily available for its customers.
VAC Innovation already distributes ChemTrend release agents as well as Italmatic autoclaves and ovens in the UK. Since its integration into the Guarniflon Group in 2024, the company has further expanded its capabilities in the manufacture of fluoropolymers, notably FEP, ETFE and PTFE.
