Core tips:The Japanese company SkyDrive announced that it has officially received Approved Design Organization (ADO) certification for its eVTOL aircraft.
SkyDrive, a leading eVTOL aircraft manufacturer based in Japan, announced that it has officially received ADO certification from the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB), under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT).

The ADO status is official public proof that SkyDrive has rigorous quality control and safety management systems in place with regard to its capabilities in aircraft design and post-design inspection. It is equivalent to the Design Organisation Approval (DOA) issued by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) by the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

SkyDrive is the first dedicated eVTOL developer to achieve this prestigious certification in Japan. Therefore, it marks a major step forward in the commercialisation of eVTOLs and the establishment of an advanced air mobility ecosystem in the country.
